    Latvia (FIBA 3x3 U18 Europe Cup 2017 Qualfiers) - Hosts Latvia shined in both the men's and women's categories after winning all their games on the opening day of the FIBA 3x3 U18 Europe Cup Latvia Qualifier 2017 on August 5. 

    Welcome to the new land of 3x3! Latvia finished the first day of competition at the 3x3 U18 Latvia Qualifier as the only nation to stay undefeated in both categories.

    In the men's category, Romania, Spain and Italy had a clean record.

    3x3 powerhouse Russia is out of the competition after losing their three games on Day 1 despite Konstantin Dotcenko dominating the scoring charts with 27 points, just ahead of Ireland's James Beckom.

    In the women's category, Germany were the only other team with a perfect record on  Day 1.

    Just like she did in the pool phase of the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2017, Germany's Eichmeyer, topped all scorers in Riga of the pool phase at the last edition of the U18 World Cup, tied with Latvia's Golovko.
