Nikolina Milic turned off the Final Four lights for her former club Perfumerias Avenida as the center went to work to propel Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding to the showpiece event instead. She was at the heart of a tough 73-67 road win, managing to accumulate a classy double-double as she stepped off court with 14 points and 10 boards - as well as 3 assists and 3 steals.
Teammates Janelle Salaun and Kennedy Burke had a night to remember as they wrote themselves into the rich tradition of Villeneuve d'Ascq LM by leading the way in the French side inking a first ever Quarter-Finals victory. Salaun did her thing in the frontcourt with a quality haul of 24 points to help ease out DVTK HUN-Therm 63-59, while Burke rattled off a typically intense 18 points, 3 assists and 3 steals.
There were contrasting emotions for Arella Guirantes and Valeriane Ayayi as Beretta Famila Schio pushed out ZVVZ USK Praha 73-61 to set up what could be a fascinating decider next week. It was Guirantes who led the charge for the Italians on their home floor as she cut out 17 points to go with 4 boards and 2 assists.
Meanwhile, Ayayi will be disappointed not to have been on the winning side having did some stellar work for Praha and producing 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.
