    Fenerbahce star McBride named October MVP

    MUNICH (Germany) - Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding scoring ace Kayla McBride has been named EuroLeague Women MVP for the month of October.

    MUNICH (Germany) - Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding scoring ace Kayla McBride has been named EuroLeague Women MVP for the month of October after guiding the reigning champions to a stellar start in their title defense.

    The 31-year-old American stepped up in a big way for the undefeated Turkish giants, averaging 17.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.4 steals in the first five games of the new campaign.

    McBride was particularly impressive in Fenerbahce's closest test of the season, putting up 26 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals for an efficiency valuation of 29 in a 74-71 win on the road against Casademont Zaragoza.

    She also hit the same season-high mark in efficiency with a 22-point, 4-rebound, 6-assist and 3-steal display in a 106-57 rout of LDLC ASVEL Feminin at home in Istanbul.

    Heading into the international break, Fenerbahce are one of two undefeated teams in the competition and share the top of the Group A standings with DVTK HUN-Therm with identical 5-0 records.

    The monthly EuroLeague Women MVP is selected from the five members of the Team of the Month, with the winner decided by a combination of the public votes and our panel of experts.
