MUNICH (Germany) - There were celebrations for a number of clubs on Wednesday night who all got off the mark at the second attempt by recording their first  wins of the new campaign.

Gelecek Kolej Cukurova had extra reason to celebrate their 86-81 triumph against Reyer Venezia since being Regular Season rookies, it was also historic as their first ever victory. Nia Coffey was the driving force behind a landmark night as she was just one assist away from a famous triple-double after amassing 16 points and 13 rebounds.

BLMA reacted to a home loss during Week 1 by collecting a hard-fought 77-73 win at Arka Gdynia. Once again it was summer signing Stephanie Mavunga who lit it up as the forward garnered 27 points and 10 rebounds. Marissa Lee Kastanek and Marie Gulich shared 40 points in defeat.

Castors Braine will be breathing a sigh of relief after outlasting TTT Riga  76-71  to take their maiden win of the new season and it was Shaqwedia Wallace and Celeste Trahan-Davis that proved the game-winners. The former finished the contest with 24 points, while Trahan-Davis had 13 points and the same number of boards.

Elsewhere, DeWanna Bonner was unstoppable again as she carried Dynamo Kursk to successive home victories, this time easing out Famila Schio 70-65. The forward showed her class again with a huge 25 points and 14 rebounds - plus some key plays in crunch time to get the job done.

Maria Vadeeva was also riding in top gear as UMMC Ekaterinburg swept aside Nadezhda 89-67 in what was a repeat of the recent SuperCup Women Final. The Russian standout could barely miss and shot 77 percent on her way to a 30-point haul, while she also hauled down 11 rebounds. Courtney Vandersloot did the business in the backcourt with 10 assists.

Finally, ZVVZ USK Praha managed to win on their travels again as they blew out Bourges Basket 93-64 at Le Prado. Alyssa Thomas showed out with 31 points and 12 rebounds for the Czech side, as well as a super six steals.
