    MUNICH (EuroLeague/EuroCup Women) – UMMC routed Dynamo Kursk in the Russian Premier League over the weekend, while Isil Alben inked a triple-double for Galatasaray and KSC Szekszard celebrated Hungarian Cup success thanks to one of their rising stars.

    There was an eye-catching 102-62 success for UMMC at the DIVS Arena as they swept aside Dynamo Kursk with surprising ease in a brilliant display.

    Gereben helps KSC Szekszard pip Sopron to Hungarian Cup
    There was a nail-biting Cup Final in Hungary between leading sides Sopron Basket and KSC Szekszard, with the latter managing to seal a tense but memorable 66-64 victory.

    Alben strikes a triple-double, Iagupova takes down Fenerbahce
    Galatasaray waltzed past Samsun 55-86 as captain Isil Alben posted one of the best lines of her illustrious career with a triple-double of 10 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.


    A blistering 31 points from Ukraine national team star Alina Iagupova was the other headline performance in the Turkish League as the swingman inspired Cukurova to a thrilling 81-80 win against Istanbul giants, Fenerbahce. Her leading contribution was underpinned by 24 points from Diamond DeShields.

    Buoyed by their EuroCup Women Semi-Finals first leg win against Reyer Venezia, Belarus national team veteran Katsiaryna Snytsina fired 22 points to propel Hatay past Mersin 87-76.

    Fagbenle on fire again
    Great Britain star and WNBA champion Temi Fagbenle is continuing to turn heads in the Polish League after she went 12-of-15 from the floor for 24 points as CCC Polkowice completed a 67-96 success at Basket 90 Gdynia.


    The most impressive result of the weekend came for leaders Artego Bydgoszcz, who prevailed 53-66 at reigning champions Sleaza Wroclaw, helped by 16 points and 8 rebounds from Serbian center, Dragana Stankovic.

    ESBVA-LM suffer surprise loss
    Eighth-placed Nantes Reze claimed the scalp of second-placed ESBVA-LM in the French League as Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe racked up 18 points in a 69-62 home win. It meant Carolo Basket were able to draw level with ESBVA-LM after 20 points from Kaleena Lewis inspired a comfortable 83-64 triumph at home to Basket Landes.

    Leaders Bourges beat fellow EuroLeague Women entrants BLMA by 69-62, with 18 points from Sugar Rodgers not enough for the visitors who were looking to improve on sixth place. Bourges now look to be a lock for the Regular Season title.

    Elsewhere in Europe
    A stellar 26 points and 10 rebounds from Isabelle Yacoubou catapulted Famila Schio past Passalacqua Ragusa 78-68 in the Italian League.


    Nearest challengers Reyer Venezia slid past Treofan Battipaglia 69-80 as Martina Bestagno weighed in with 18 points.

    Perfumerias Avenida were fuelled in Liga Femenina action by Brazilian Erika Souza, as she corralled 24 points and 11 boards in a 59-85 success at Bembibre. Spar Citylift Girona also won on their travels with four players in double-digits as they beat struggling Quesos El Pastor 52-78.
