MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) – The biggest stars in the women’s game have been going to work Stateside, with Angel McCoughtry, Candace Parker, Cheyenne Parker and Kia Nurse all showing their qualities in the WNBA.

Dynamo Kursk standout and 2017 EuroLeague Women MVP, Angel McCoughtry tore it up for the Atlanta Dream as she posted a stellar double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds against Phoenix.

Although, despite her impressive haul, it wasn't enough to avoid a 78-71 loss to the Mercury, who had DeWanna Bonner and Diana Taurasi sharing 40 points in the clash.

Another former EuroLeague Women MVP in Candace Parker carried LA Sparks to a home win against reigning champions Minnesota Lynx, with the Californian side completing an early campaign double over their arch rivals.

Last season's runners-up picked up a 69-77 home success off the back of a 60 percent shooting effort from Parker, who finished with 19 points and 10 boards.

Chicago Sky shrugged off the absence of Allie Quigley to slide past Las Vegas Aces 90-95. Wisla center Cheyenne Parker starred with 20 points and 10 rebounds, as Courtney Vandersloot showed her playmaking skills, adding 19 points and 9 assists.

Passalacqua Ragusa forward Dearica Hamby impressed in EuroCup Women last season and is now doing the same in Las Vegas. She racked up a brilliant 11-of-13 shooting effort for 24 points in defeat.

Finally, there will be much anticipation in coming months around the future of Kia Nurse and whether the Canadian ace will sign in EuroLeague Women or head to Asia.

    ...

The UConn graduate has made an explosive and indeed landmark start to her WNBA career, most recently firing a historic 34 points in New York Liberty's thrilling 87-81 overtime win at Indiana Fever. It was the most points ever scored by a New York rookie, the most off the bench and also the most by any Canadian player in the WNBA.
