    Roundup: Favorites all reach French Cup Semis, More misery for Galatasaray

    Rodgers enjoys winning BLMA debut as favorites flourish
    Bourges Basket, BLMA, ESBVA-LM and Flammes Carolo Basket are now all a step away from the 2018 Coupe De France Final after attaining wins in the last eight of the competition to reach the final four.


    After a difficult week, BLMA had to deal with some pressure to eventually shrug off Tarbes 64-59 and the arrival of new signing Ta Shauna 'Sugar' Rodgers certainly helped. The WNBA player fired a sizzling 28 points on debut with an incredible 8 triples.

    Bourges were compelling winners against second-tier Toulouse 86-51 as Valeriane Ayayi and Alexia Chartereau scored 23 points apiece. Pauline Akonga-Nsimbo erupted for 25 points to propel ESBVA-LM past Lyon 86-51, with Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis gong 7-of-10 for 27 points as Flammes Carolo Basket beat Nice 76-66.

    Rotten run continues for Galatasaray
    Galatasaray can't seem to arrest their domestic slump after they suffered yet another Turkish league setback to fall to an alarming 6-8. Their latest reverse came by way of an 87-77 defeat at Mersin, who were inspired by 27 points from Bria Hartley, 11 assists from Alsena Yalcin and a 25-point and 13-rebound double-double from Marica Gajic.


    Yakin Dogu Universitesi were almost upset by the visiting Botas but escaped with a tight 85-81 win as Courtney Vandersloot harvested 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 asissts, with team-mate Kayla McBride also near to a triple-double after racking up 17 points, 13 boards and 7 assists.

    Fenerbahce dodged a bullet after winning 57-54 at Ormanspor, while Courtney Paris continues to be rampant for Hatay, accumulating 21 points and 16 boards in an 81-72 win against Adana Aski.

    Perfumerias Avenida win the big one against Girona
    The top-of-the-table clash in Liga Femenina saw leaders Perfumerias Avenida make a statement by taking an eye-catching 61-66 triumph at Spar Citylift Girona.


    The home side were on a high after making the EuroCup Women Round of 8, following a crushing win against Olympiacos last week, but were undone by their Spanish title rivals. Adaora Elonu and Angelica Robinson shared 24 points as Avenida got the job done with a late surge down the stretch.

    CCC Polkowice trip over in Polish League
    Third place CCC Polkowice stumbled, going down 91-83 on their home floor against Gorzow after Paulina Misiek added 28 points and Miah Spencer recorded 18 and 11 assists for the visitors.


    Leaders Wisla CANPACK had the confidence flowing as they built on their EuroLeague Women win at Schio to tear past Widzew Lodz 85-61. Once again it was Leonor Rodriguez and Cheyenne Parker who excelled with 15 and 18 points respectively.

    Sleza Wroclaw bounced back from their disappointing EuroCup Women exit with a commanding 91-60 road win at MKK Siedlce as Marissa Kastanek netted an impressive 20 points. A 26-point haul from Jennifer O'Neil catapulted Artego Bydgoszcz to an 85-76 win at Energa Torun, while five players hit double-digits in scoring for Basket 90 Gdynia as they won 74-64 at AZS-UMCS.

    KSC Szekszard make it a terrific 12 unbeaten
    The Hungarian champions KSC Szekszard are still perfect and went 12-0 after an 80-68 triumph at VBW CEKK Cegled which was inspired by 19 points from Teja Oblak.


    Sopron Basket triumphed 79-62 against Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc led by 14 points from Virag Wenninger. Sara Imovbioh produced a major double-double of 16 points and 19 rebounds for PEAC-Pecs as they strode to an 80-50 win at MTK-Budapest.

    Elsewhere in Europe
    After a special birthday performance in EuroLeague Women, Kseniia Tikhonenko continued her good form with 20 points and 12 rebounds for Nadezhda as they won 80-56 at her former team, Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje.

    In the Italian League, Famila Schio thanked Isabelle Yacoubou for her 25 points and 11 rebounds as they muscled out Napoli 77-65, while second-placed Reyer Venezia beat Fila San Martino 66-59 as Valeria De Pretto amassed 22 points.
