Meesseman, Rupert and Williams revealed as finalists for MVP

    There are now only three candidates still in the race to take this year's ultimate individual prize.

    MUNICH (Germany) - Emma Meesseman, Iliana Rupert and Gabby Williams have all been announced as finalists for the EuroLeague Women Most Valuable Player Award.

    The trio are chasing the ultimate individual honor after after finishing in the top three of voting conducted by EuroLeague Women coaches, players, selected media and the fans.

    Fenerbahce Opet standout Meesseman is not only pursuing an unprecedented third MVP crown, but also a third consecutive honor. Her teammate Williams and CIMSA CBK Mersin center, Rupert are both looking to land the accolade for the first time.

    The winners of the EuroLeague Women Awards will be announced at special ceremony at EuroLeague Women Final Six in Zaragoza, Spain on Saturday, April 12.

    Stats: 24.1 EFF / 18.1 PPG / 6.5 RPG / 4.5 APG Searching for an unprecedented third consecutive MVP honor, Meesseman has every chance of accomplishing this amazing feat having posted another super season. Her performance efficiency valuation alone highlights this clearly - as does Fenerbahce having not yet lost.

    Iliana Rupert (CIMSA CBK Mersin)

    Birth Date: July 12, 2001 (23 years old) Height: 1.94 (6ft 4in)

    Stats: 21.6 EFF / 16.5 PPG / 8.0 RPG / 2.7 APG The French center has been superb all season long in what has been her best EuroLeague Women season to date. Rupert has been a pillar of strength for Mersin inside, recording a number of excellent displays and establishing herself as a leader for the Turkish side.

    Gabby Williams (Fenerbahce Opet)

    Birth Date: September 9, 1996 (28 years old) Height: 1.80 (5ft 11in)

    Stats: 19.8 EFF / 14.1 PPG / 5.6 RPG / 3.8 APG / 2.8 SPG Yet to taste defeat, reigning champions Fenerbahce have benefited from the stellar play of Williams. She has grown stronger with every game. Her defensive skills are so important, while her 14.1 points per game reflects a growing influence offensively.
