    Johannes lands EuroCup Women Finals MVP honor

    ISTANBUL (Turkey) - There was cause for double celebration for Marine Johannes after the LDLC ASVEL Feminin guard added to her EuroCup Women winners medal by being named Finals MVP.

    ISTANBUL (Turkey) - There was cause for double celebration for Marine Johannes after the LDLC ASVEL Feminin guard added to her EuroCup Women winners medal by being named Finals MVP.

    Influential in both legs of the title matchup against Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring, Johannes was the leading figure in taking her club to their maiden EuroCup Women title.

    Johannes got ASVEL off to a rapid fire start during the opening game in France, dropping a series of stunning downtown scores in a devastating 95-56 triumph. The French guard finished the contest with 25 points and 4 assists.

    Her performance during the second leg in Istanbul was also impressive as she lit up an 85-57 victory with 20 points and 6 assists. 

    Averaging 22.5 points and 5.0 assists along with an efficiency of 19.5 across the Finals, Johannes also filled the highlights reel with her plays. That cemented her status as one of the most entertaining and talented players in the women's game.
