    February MVP award handed to Austin

    MUNICH (Germany) - Shakira Austin has been honored for her exceptional work with Elitzur Landco Ramla by being crowned the EuroCup Women MVP for February.

    MUNICH (Germany) - Shakira Austin has been honored for her exceptional work with Elitzur Landco Ramla by being crowned the EuroCup Women MVP for February.

    Having been an outstanding figure for the Israeli team throughout her first campaign, Austin has regularly recorded some huge performances - both numbers-wise and also in terms of their importance. 

    In two outings during the period, Austin was typically influential, helping Ramla to move to the cusp of the Semi-Finals. The first display came when she catapulted her team into the last eight of the competition via an 85-64 road win at InvestInTheWest Enea Gorzow in a Round of 16 second leg matchup.

    The USA forward harvested a super double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds as well as a terrific 5 steals and 4 assists. Austin then showed out in the Quarter-Finals first leg against Umana Reyer Venezia with 29 points and 16 boards, plus 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in an 80-75 success.

    During February, Austin harvested a stellar performance efficiency valuation of 30.0 with productive averages of 22.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game.
