BERLIN (Germany) - FIBA EuroBasket 2022 co-hosts Germany have locked in their preliminary roster for this year's major tournament after confirming a squad of 16.
Head coach Gordie Herbert will look to rely on Dennis Schroder as one of the leaders on the team with two previous EuroBasket appearances back in 2015 and 2017 - averaging 20+ points per game at both editions.
The experienced guard fired in a FIBA Basketball World Cup European Qualifiers record of 38 points during last month's action with the national team and they now have Moritz Wagner back in the squad alongside younger brother Franz Wagner.

Germany's last medal at EuroBasket came 17 years ago when they were runners-up in 2005 with their only title coming in 1993 when they also hosted the tournament.
