Luka Doncic headlines the team selection as one of eight players back from the 2017 title-winning team including tournament MVP Goran Dragic, who came out of international retirement this summer.

Jaka Blazic, Vlatko Cancar, Ziga Dimec, Edo Muric, Aleksej Nikolic and Klemen Prepelic also return to help the bid to become back-to-back champions.
There is also a debut appearance for 21-year-old Ziga Samar, while Zoran Dragic unites with older brother Goran having missed out on the 2017 edition through injury.
Slovenia warmed up for EuroBasket with a win and a loss in the August window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers including a preview matchup with Germany.

Slovenia's title defense begins against Lithuania on the opening day of the tournament on Thursday as they also come up against France, Germany, Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group B.
