Action in Milan, Prague about to start as rosters confirmed in Group C and Group D

MILAN/PRAGUE (Italy/Czech Republic) - FIBA EuroBasket 2022 action is about to get underway also in Milan and Prague as team rosters in Group C and Group D were confirmed on Thursday, shortly after the showpiece event tipped off in Tbilisi and Cologne that play host to Group A and Group B, respectively.

In Group C, Italy are playing host to another nation that also has two EuroBasket titles in its trophy case, Greece, led by superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Croatia, Estonia, Great Britain and Ukraine are the other four contenders in this group that tips off at 14:15 CET on Friday.

Meanwhile in Group D, hosts Czech Republic will lock horns with Israel, Finland, Netherlands, Poland and Serbia of reigning two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. Action in Prague tips off at 14:00 on Friday.

The final 12-man rosters of the teams competing in Milan and Prague:

Group C: Croatia, Estonia, Italy, Great Britain, Greece, Ukraine
Group D: Czech Republic, Finland, Israel, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia

These two groups will conclude on Thursday, September 8, while Group A and Group B will come to a close one day earlier. The Round of 16 tips off in Berlin on Saturday, September 10.
