ISTANBUL (FIBA EuroBasket 2017) - 11 chartered flights, as well as a fleet of buses, have been employed to bring thousands of Slovenian basketball fans to Istanbul to witness history on Sunday.

Just by making the Final, Slovenia, who have never won a FIBA EuroBasket medal, are already set to write a new chapter in their nation's proud sporting tradition - and they can now count on a wave of green in the stands to urge them to one more victory.

Led by Goran Dragic, for whom Sunday's Final will mark his last appearance for his nation, and wunderkind Luka Doncic, Slovenia have so far gone through the entire qualification and Final Round undefeated.

This has seen basketball fans in the small central European country scrambling for travel options and tickets to the Final, where their team will square off against Serbia.

According to Slovenia media, there have also been 335 citizens applying for passports in order to make the trip.

The Final will take place on Sunday in Sinan Erdem Arena at 21:30.
