    Gregg "Pop" Popovich: FIBA EuroBasket 2017 has been the best yet

    TEL AVIV (FIBA EuroBasket 2017) - Legendary San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg "Pop" Popovich has labelled the 2017 edition of FIBA EuroBasket, as the best yet.

    TEL AVIV (FIBA EuroBasket 2017) - Legendary San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg "Pop" Popovich has labelled the 2017 edition of FIBA EuroBasket, as the best yet.

    Popovich has been taking in Group B in Tel Aviv, which has featured Italy, coached by his Spurs' assistant Ettore Messina. On Tuesday, Popovich, stopped by to talk with FIBA TV, expressing his keen interest in Europe's premier basketball competition.

    A regular at EuroBasket over a number of years, the new USA head coach paid credit to the standard of the competition and the fans, adding with his characteristic wry smile: "I don't care who wins or loses so it's fun."

    He finished by saying, "everybody loves to host this tournament, and every time you go, it's better and better all the time. This has been the best."
