CLUJ-NAPOCA (FIBA EuroBasket 2017) - For the first time since 1997, Croatia have reached the century mark at a FIBA EuroBasket tournament. Aco Petrovic's squad defeated Czech Republic 107-69 to finish their Group C campaign in second place.

Dragan Bender wasn't even born the last time Croatia scored 100 points in FIBA EuroBasket. That happened on July 5, 1997, when Croatia defeated Germany 100-93 in the battle for 11th place. Bender was born five months later.

He helped them out in Cluj-Napoca with 10 points. Bojan Bogdanovic was once again Croatia's leading man with 25 points in 22 minutes, while Dario Saric collected an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double, also in 22 minutes of action. Ivan Buva had 13 points for Croatia, Roko Ukic finished with 12 and 6 assists, and Filip Kruslin was right next to him with 11 and 5, respectively.

Jiri Welsch played the last game of his 18-year-long international career. The 37-year-old stayed scoreless in 5 minutes on the court.
