TEAM CHARACTERISTICS
Major strength of the team is it's teamwork and ability to fulfill roles. Each player contributes to the end product by staying within their game. Scoring is spread among post and perimeter players as are contributions on defense. Will not turn the ball over much and will take advantage of each possession.

TRANSITION

Can score in transition after steals or defensive rebounds. Not a priority within their offensive scheme but break contributes needed points throughout the course of the game. Score equally on the drive and from the outside. Ball handlers use running hand offs effectively at the end of the break.

OFFENSIVE TENDENCIES

Spacing is excellent which opens driving lanes to the basket. Perimeter players drive hard down the lane to finish at the rim, many times using on ball screens. High post is used as screener and passer on many occasions. Good ball reversal moves the defense and creates post feeds, cutters and open shooters.

SET PLAYS

Shuffle cut, double down screen, on ball screen and roll.
Wing entry, high post ball reversal, hand back for open three pointer.
Double screen, ball reversal, screen down, on ball screen and roll.

ZONE OFFENSE

3 out/2 in set with posts occupying multiple spots on the floor. Low post, high post, short corner, and step outs by post make coverage difficult. Posts and perimeter players set screens against the zone including on ball screens.

OB PLAYS

Several plays come from the same basic set. The passer steps in and uses staggered single screen to ball side corner for open shot. A slip occurs after a double screen at the elbow from the same alignment. Ball can also be throw deep followed by immediate on ball screen roll.

DEFENSIVE CHARACTERISTICS

Defensive system is combination of man to man and match up zone. The 2-3 match up is difficult to attack due to switching and good communication by the defense. Posts will clog the lane and bump cutters to protect the basket. Will double team inside and force the turnovers. Will play a lot of zone if the game dictates.
