VALENCIA (ACB) - Ruben Garces' loss has turned out to be Stanko Barac's gain with the 21-year-old Croatia national team center joining Pamesa Valencia on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Pamesa have signed Barac after Garces broke his leg, an injury that has ruled the Panama international center out of action for two months.

Barac, who was on the books at Spanish giants Tau Ceramica, played last season with Bosnian side Siroki.

At the EuroBasket in Spain, the 2.17m Barac came off the bench and show a nice shooting touch, averaging 5.4 points and 4.1 rebounds as Croatia clinched a sixth place finish to earn a place at next year's pre-Olympic qualifying tournament.
