ZARAGOZA (Spain) - Laia Palau has received EuroLeague Women Legacy Award, presented by Azulmarino in recognition of her outstanding and unrivalled individual accomplishments in the competition.

The award was presented by Silvina Prado, representative of World2Meet, as well as FIBA Europe Board member Amiram Halevy.

Having announced her retirement in 2022, she still remains the only player to have ever achieved the mind-blowing feat of having passed a 1,000 milestone across the three categories of points, rebounds and assists.

When it comes to dishing out dimes, Palau is the all-time leader after passing the rock an astonishing 1353 times and nobody has come close to matching or surpassing that extraordinary figure.

She also holds the modern era record for EuroLeague Women appearances - competing in an incredible 277 games. As if that was not enough, she still ranks in third place for steals as well.

Palau is a two-time EuroLeague Women champion, having won the silverware with Ros Casares in 2012 and then with ZVVZ USK Praha in 2015. She also represented Bourges Basket, CCC Polkowice and Uni Girona, where she is currently the Sporting Director and First Team Assistant Coach. FIBA
