    BENGHAZI (Afrobasket 2009) - Nigeria continue its unbeaten run in group-E of the round-of-eight of the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship in Benghazi with a 87-77 points win over hard fighting Egypt to keep its hope of qualifying for the quarter-finals alive.

    The Nigeria side won the first three quarters 19-17, 25-22 and 20-15 and tied the last quarter with both sides 23 points each.

    Nigeria captain Gabriel Muoneke led his side with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and one block-shot, sensational guard, Michael Efevberha added 13 points while the duo of Joshua Akognon and Michael umeh contributed 12 and 10 points respectively.

    Nigeria plays Mali on Monday while the Egyptian will have a difficult game against defending champion, Angola in the first group-E game on Monday at the Suleiman Al-Darat Hall in Benghazi.
