ABIDJAN (Côte d'Ivoire) - Egypt and Mozambique have been awarded wildcards for the 2025 FIBA Women's AfroBasket, FIBA Africa has announced.
Egypt finished second in the Zone 5 qualifiers held in Cairo last month after losing 74-63 to eventual regional champions Uganda.
Mozambique, on the other hand, lost 109-108 (aggregate) to Angola in a two-game series played in the Angolan capital Luanda (3-4 February).
