LUANDA (2015 FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women) - Angolan side Primeiro D'Agosto won the 2015 FIBA Africa Champions Cup Women (ACCW) on Sunday following a 69-53 triumph over local and continental rivals InterClube de Luanda on the outskirts of the Angolan capital city of Luanda.

Mozambique international Leia Dongue lifted the Angolan champions with game-highs 28 points and 18 rebounds, Senegal's Maimouma Diarra was terrific near the basket to go with 12 points and seven rebounds, and the D’Agosto ended InterClube’s attempt to win the tournament for the third consecutive time.

Italee Lucas and Nadir Manuel - the only InterClube de Luanda players to score in double digits - combined for 22 points, but D’Agosto's determination proved too much for the former ACCW champions.

D'Agosto outplayed the opponent from start to finish.

As well as leading 30-16 at half-time, D’Agosto out-rebounded InterClube 40-23 to finish the tournament undefeated in eight games.

InterClube, on the other hand, concluded the event with a 6-2 mark.

This is D'Agosto's first ACCW title since 2006.
