    MIES, Switzerland (2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments for Men and Women) - The Officials Draws for the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments for Men and Women to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games took place at the House of Basketball, FIBA's Headquarters, on Tuesday evening.

    Here are the results of the draws.

    2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments (OQTs)
    OQT Belgrade (Serbia) - Group A: 1. Serbia; 2. Angola; 3. Puerto Rico | Group B: 1. Japan; 2. Czech Republic; 3. Latvia.
    OQT Manila (Philippines) - Group A: 1. Turkey; 2. Senegal; 3. Canada | Group B: 1. France; 2. New Zealand; 3. Philippines.
    OQT Turin (Italy) - Group A: 1. Greece; 2. Mexico; 3. Iran | Group B: 1. Tunisia; 2. Croatia; 3. Italy.

    2016 FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (WOQT)
    Group A: 1. Cuba; 2. New Zealand; 3. France.

    Group C: 1. Belarus; 2. Korea; 3. Nigeria. 
    Group D: 1. Venezuela; 2. Spain; 3. China.

    In attendance for this milestone event on the Road to Rio 2016 were distinguished guests including: FIBA Secretary General Emeritus, Mr Borislav Stankovic; FIBA President, Mr Horacio Muratore; FIBA Honorary President and FIBA Foundation President, Mr Yvan Mainini; FIBA Secretary General and International Olympic Committee (IOC) Member, Mr Patrick Baumann; FIBA Europe President and FIBA Vice-President, Mr Turgay Demirel; and representatives of the national federations of all participating teams.

    Media professionals wishing to apply for accreditation for these events should register in the FIBA Media Portal. The application period will open on Monday 2 May for both the OQTs and the WOQT. You will find all media accreditation deadlines and details by going to the FIBA Media Centre. All TV broadcasters interested in acquiring TV rights should contact tv@fiba.com.
