    CRC - New man in charge for Costa Rica

    SAN JOSE (COCABA Championship for Senior Men) - Alejandro Fernandez has replaced Rodolfo Fonseca as head coach of the Costa Rica national team. Fonseca relinquished the post due to business commitments in Guatemala

    SAN JOSE (COCABA Championship for Senior Men) - Alejandro Fernandez has replaced Rodolfo Fonseca as head coach of the Costa Rica national team.

    Fonseca relinquished the post due to business commitments in Guatemala, where his sports marketing company have just opened some offices.

    Fernandez, coach of three-times domestic champions Liceo, will assume immediate control of the team, who are currently involved in the COCABA  Championship for Senior Men, having reached the semi-finals.

    The identity of their opponents is not yet known, and could be any one of Mexico, Belize or Guatemala.

    The Costa Rican Basketball Federation (FECOBA) have also announced that five players from United States colleges will be added to the national team squad.

    They are Jake McKenzie, Kay Martinez (both from Lake Region), Randy Cayasso (Brescia University), Hernol Gardener (Lon Morris College) and Jefny Anderson (Southern University).
