This is how it went at the Complexe Multi sports de Japoma, Douala.

CNSS remain strong to overcome DBF

The game started on a good note for the Daniel Battison Foundation side as they took a 15-12 lead in the first quarter but CNSS from DR Congo made a spirited effort to take the second quarter at 15-11 and a one-point lead of 27-26 into the halftime.

On resumption of the third quarter, DBF came out fighting hard to regain control of the game winning 12-10.

However, the last quarter of the game proved a lot more difficult for the women from Cameroon as they could not contain the fight put up by Koko Ade-coached CNSS side that opened up the game with a 24-17 score to end the game at 61-55.

Though, it was more of a ding dong affair between both sides as the lead changed nine time, it was the CNSS that showed a stronger will to take victory.

Bintou Drame scored a game high-15 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals in the 33:33 minutes she was on the court to help her side to a first win in the Qualifiers. She was complimented by Marlene Ngobeleza and Hanna Mabelle Amani who added 9 points apiece.

    FAP overrun NABA

Coach Tsafack Lonteu of FAP had a singular agenda of winning his first game and that was achieved in flying colors as his girls ran rings around NABA side from Gabon on what was clearly a one sided game.

With a 22-4, 15-12, 26-7 and 32-9 winning all the quarters it was clear that the Gabon side were no match for the host.

Though, NABA tried to put up a fighting the second quarter with an intent to cut down the scores, it turned out a mission impossible as Ghislaine Ntsame Aboghe could only come up with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists for the entire game while Rolande Gemina Dinga added 7 points, 11 rebounds and I assist just as Jessica Revert Abagha Ada added 7 points.
