Former China center Mengke Bateer was in fine fettle for Xinjiang.
The bulky 6ft 10 pivot had 24 points and 12 rebounds in the triumph.
Guangdong survived a tough fight with Liaoning, prevailing 105-98.
China national team star Zhu Fangyu erupted for 39 points for Guandong.
He buried nine shots from long range in a superlative shooting display.
