BEIJING (CBA) - Liaoning could be down in the dumps after falling to a third successive defeat to Guangdong on Sunday in the CBA Finals, but there is upbeat mood in the team.

"There is difference in the strength of the two squads," Liaoning's Zhang Qingpeng said on TITAN.

"(But) Even if we lose the game, we will get a lot of experience. The rising Liaoning team will have better performance in the next couple of years."

Guangdong, who won three successive titles before falling to Bayi in last year's championship series, won Game Three in this year's showpiece, 106-83.

Li Xiaoxu, one of Liaoning's youngsters, said: "The ferocity of the competition and the strength of the rival is beyond the expectations of the players. Even we are swept 4-0 by Guangdong, though, it's nothing but normal, because it's such a long, hard process for us to reach the final, and we are not as fluent on offense as Guangdong."

Guo Shiqiang, Liaoning head coach, is giving up on this year's team.

"We're concentrating on the process in playing the final," he said.

"As for the result, I don't want to dwell on it."

"Okay, there is possibility we may swept by Guangdong, but it's useless to think about it."
