Chinese Taipei get their first-ever FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup win.

    IRAPUATO (Mexico) - Chinese Taipei broke into the win column on Day 2 of the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup 2024 in Mexico, also their first in the history of the competition.

    They defeated Egypt, 69-45, to book their first-ever win in their debut appearance in the biennial competition. They practically led from start to finish, putting up leads of as big as 25 points in the process. Yu Shan Hsu led the way for the victors with 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Yu Chen Peng added a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double.
