    Centrobasket Women's Championship 2022 groups are confirmed

    Before the procedure, the seven national teams were distributed in three pots. Two teams placed in the first two and three in the third, taking into account the positions in the current FIBA ​​Nike Ranking.

    Group A

    1.Costa Rica
    2.Guatemala
    3.Puerto Rico
    4. Dominican Republic

    B Group

    1. Mexico
    2. Cuba
    3. El Salvador

    The Rodrigo M. Quevedo Gymnasium venue will host the competition. In the Group Phase, the teams meet once against each opponent in their group. The top two from each group advance to the Semi-Finals, while the third and fourth place finishers in their respective groups compete for 5th and 6th places.

    In the Semi-Finals, the first of the group are measured against the second of the other as follows: 1A vs 2B and 1B vs 2A. The winners qualify for the Final, while the losers play for third place.

    The four best teams in the competition will qualify to the FIBA ​​Women's AmeriCup 2023.

    Puerto Rico won the last edition of the Centrobasket Women's Championship in San Salvador, El Salvador in 2021.
