SAN JUAN (Women’s Centrobasket Championship 2017) – The Puerto Rican National Federation (FBPUR) announced the 12-player roster that will represent the country in the Women’s Centrobasket Championship 2017, from July 12-16 in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

"It was a difficult decision. We have selected a talented team with a combination of veterans and youngsters. It's a practically a new team, that has interesting combinations. We have the return of Pamela (Rosado), Mari (Placido) who has represented the country for a decade and players like Tayra (Meléndez) and Angelica (Bermúdez) because of their game and leadership”, Said Head Coach, Gerardo "Jerry" Batista to the official webpage of the Puerto Rican National Federation.
"This tournament will be a good opportunity for Paola (Crespo) who has been in the National Team previously, and will add more minutes and we can help and contribute. In addition, talented players who play in Division I in High School," he added.
The Women's Centrobasket will award three tickets to the FIBA Women's AmeriCup, which will be played from August 6-13 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
