Saskatoon (CANADA) - Canada made easy work of their competition at home, defeating Dallas 3XBA in the final 21 - 7 to win the FIBA 3x3 Saskatoon stop 2024 on August 17 - 18.

    The winner: Canada

Coming back from Paris without an Olympic medal, Canada surely looked to bounce back into winning ways in the Women’s Series. They did so in style at home as they dominated their way to yet another stop win.

They started off with a 16 - 6 win against German side Heidelberg with Michelle Plouffe leading the way with 8 points. A 9-point game from Paige Crozon led Canada to a 21 - 11 victory over Puerto Rico next. They made quick work of Singapore next as Crozon and Katherine Plouffe combined for 17 in a 21 - 8 result.

The knockout stage was more of the same dominance. A 21 - 7 win against Czechia in the semis with a collective scoring effort took Canada to the final.

    The runner-up: Dallas 3XBA

The American side Dallas 3XBA showcased their dominance as well, taking down Romania 21 - 8 in the opener. Monster games from Camille Zimmerman (7p, 10r) and Hannah Pratt (10p, 4r) sealed the deal.

It was Kaela Davis who took over in their game against Czechia as they earned a 20 - 12 victory. A tandem effort got them a 20 - 13 win against Chile to close out pool play.

They earned their final spot with a 20 - 11 win over Heidelburg with a 9-point game from Davis.

    The final

    Canada 21 - 7 Dallas 3XBA

A rematch of the final in Edmonton, the two North American sides faced off in Saskatoon, and the result was no different.

Pratt and Davis put up buckets early but were undermined quickly by the offensive firepower of the Canadians. The Plouffe sisters dominated in the paint and from deep as they led their side to an 11 - 2 lead in just over 2 minutes.

Evanne Turner added to the tally as well but the game was over but it could get going. Crozon and Michelle Plouffe drained back to back twos to seal a dominant 21 - 7 win for Canada
