    CUIABÁ (FIBA Americas Championship for Women) – Canada had six scorers in double figures as they crushed the Dominican Republic by the score of 103-37 in game two of the FIBA Americas Championship played at the Aecim Tocantins Gym.

    Jordan Adams led with 16 points while Chelsea Aubry had 14, Tamara Tatham 13, Janelle Bekkering along with Kim Smith 12 each and Kadie Riverin 10. Canada shot 34-59 from the field for 58%.

    Adams had 6 points and Kim Smith 5 for Canada who dominated the first quarter 23-15. Andreina Paniagua was the only consistent scorer for the Dominicans with 8 points.

    The second quarter ended 55-20 led by Kim Smith with 10 points and Aubry 9. Canada shot 21-33 from the field for 64% and dominated the rebounds 21-14.

    Canada had a comfortable win because of their great defensive effort and good passing inside for easy baskets. Teresa Gabriele dished 10 assists and Kadie Riverin 6 for the Canadians.

    Andreina Paniagua was the only Dominican in double figures with 16 points and the team finished shooting 9-55 from the field for a poor 16%.
