Cameroon's team for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2025 will have a new look as a new head coach has included six members of last summer's U18 team in the preliminary pool.

YAOUNDE (Cameroon) - Cameroon have announced a list of 30 players who will participate in a training camp for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2025 with six of them were part of the history-making team from the FIBA U18 AfroBasket 2024.

Dan Scott Ejenguele, Amadou Seini, Freddy Tchakounte, Hermann Bel, Daryl Baya, and Gregory Kemet Edoa helped Cameroon reach second place last summer at the U18 AfroBasket to secure the country's first-ever berth for the junior World Cup.

The Cameroon Basketball Federation (FECA) named a new head coach with Steve Tchiengang, an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics of the NBA, taking over the team. Kevin Ngwese will serve as Tchiengang's assistant after he guided Cameroon as U18 AfroBasket head coach last summer.
