SAO PAULO (FIBA Americas Championship) - Brazil coach Ruben Magnano has hailed the progress his team have made in their preparations for the FIBA Americas Championship.

Brazil are nearing the close of their Sao Palo training camp and will head to Venezuela for a warm-up tournament later this week.

Although injuries have struck the likes of Diego da Silva and Arthur, Magnano is happy with how things have gone, and believes his team are in good shape.

"I have been pleased, once again, with the focus and commitment of the players, because everyone is doing their best in training," he said.

"The atmosphere is very good and we need to continue like this so we can go into the tournament strong and balanced."

Guard Nezinho is now looking forward to some game action as they move a step closer to their goal of qualifying for the London Olympics.

"The work this week had greater direction to it and there was more focus on tactics," he said.

"The group is developing well and will continue to do so once we get into the games.

"I'm feeling good, giving my best in training, and like all the other players working towards the goal of London 2012."
