From the start Obras held a convincing lead over UdeC from the jump as they led 22-11 after one quarter, and extended their lead to 19 by the half as Andre Spight exploded for 21 points shooting 57.14 per cent from the floor in the half.

Felipe Inyaco and Leandro Cerminato each added 7 points, while Pedro Barral dominated the defensive boards with six rebounds, but UdeC had no answer for Spight even with Evandro Arteaga going for 12 points of his own in the half.

Obras continued to extend their lead in the third quarter, as Barral added offensive efficiency to his defense adding 9 points in the quarter, while Alejo Digon and Franco Smaniotti cleaned up on the defensive boards.

As a team Obras shot over 51 percent from two-point range though three quarters, and dominated the boards on both ends as they outrebounded UdeC 49-26. Obras also got the advantage in transition, as well as in the paint and with their bench as the Obras bench added 22 points to UdeC’s 10.

While UdeC stayed close into the final frame, they could not cut into the deficit that Obras had built through the first three quarters even with Marquez Letcher having a strong fourth quarter offensively.

Spight led all scorers with 27 points and 5 rebounds, going 11-of-21 from the floor while Cerminato added 15 points and 9 rebounds.

Arteaga and Letcher were the only double-digit scorers for UdeC, each adding 16 points shooting over 40 per cent each from the floor. Letcher also added 9 rebounds in the loss.
