Flamengo led 40-38 at halftime, but Boca Jrs flipped the script and won the second half 42-22 on route to their 18-point victory.
Jose Defelippo had a game-high 19 efficiency for Boca Jrs after recording 9 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals on a perfect 3-of-3 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from three-point in only 16 minutes off the bench.
Manuel Rodriguez led the team in scoring with 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field.
This game came down to putting the ball in the basket, as Boca Jrs attempted four fewer shots from the field but converted nine more shots.
Didi Louzada led Flamengo in defeat with a team-high 16 points along with 4 rebounds and 2 assists on 3-of-6 shooting from three-point.
With tonight’s result, Boca Jrs and Flamengo are now both 1-1 in Group C. Boca Jrs play next on January 17 against Hebraica Macabi who are also 1-1, before a rematch with Flamengo on January 18.
The current tiebreak in the group has Boca Jrs in first place, Hebraica Macabi in second place and Flamengo in third place.
