MIAMI (United States) – Several players put on amazing performances to lead their teams to victory during Group Stage 2 of Basketball Champions League Americas. These were the best ones:

    Lucas Dias - Franca (BRA)

    PTS: 23.5 | 3P: 50% | REB: 8.5 | AST: 4.0 | BLK: 1.0 | 29.0 EFF

For the second consecutive stage, the power forward had the best efficiency of the tournament, making him the most outstanding performer through four games played. He is a huge reason for Franca being the last undefeated team left and the only one who has secured a spot in the Quarterfinals. Dias led BCLA in both points per game (21.0) and efficiency (21.0).

    Santiago Scala - Franca (BRA)

    PTS: 17.0 | 3P: 60% | REB: 4.0 | AST: 8.0 | 23.5 EFF

Dias wasn’t the only factor fueling SESI Franca’s torrid start. Several other players have taken steps forward for the defending champions and one of them is the Argentinian point guard. Scala, in these 2 games, was lethal from the perimeter and dimed his teammates frequently. The 32-year-old is in the Top 5 in assists with 5.0 per game.

Jordan Williams - Hebraica Macabi (URU)

    PTS: 22.5 | FT: 20/21 | REB: 8.0 | STL: 2.0 | 23.0 EFF

The American forward has led the charge for the Uruguayan champions and has them in an excellent position to move forward to the next round. Just like Dias, he was among the best in Group Stage 1 and repeated the feat. As of now, he’s the second-best scorer in the tournament with 20.5 per game.

    Eric Anderson - Nacional (URU)

    PTS: 20.5 | 2P: 58% | REB: 11.5 | 21.5 EFF

In previous seasons playing for Quimsa, he was often named to the all-tournament team. Now with Nacional, Anderson is still shining and has the Uruguayans in second place in Group B. The 6’6 big man is currently second in rebounds per game (10.5).

    Alexis Elsener - Halcones (MEX)

    PTS: 17.5 | FG: 56% | REB: 3.5 | AST: 3.0 | STL: 3.5 | 20.5 EFF

The Argentinian veteran is one of 8 players who made their debut for the Mexican squad in this second stage. The roster reinforcements had a positive effect, as Halcones won both of their games and left everything tied in Group A. Elsener was exceptional on defense and rose to the top of the steals leaderboard (3.5). That allowed him to get easy buckets in transition and to shoot 72 percnt on two-pointers.
