    Basketball Champions League Americas 2021-2022 schedule confirmed

    MIAMI (USA) - The Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) season three schedule has been finalized and confirmed by its administrative teams and Board of Directors.

    MIAMI (USA) - The Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) season three schedule has been finalized and confirmed by its administrative teams and Board of Directors. Season three will be held from December 2021 to April 2022 and the competition will be played in bubble formats in seven countries across various cities in the Americas.

    The Group Phase will be played from December 2021 to March 2022, with the Final 8 playing in April 2022. Groups were determined by random draw during the live event on October 16th, with Group A already pre-assigned due to geographical and logistical restrictions.

    The first window takes place December 10-15, with Group D heading to Maracanãzinho in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the defending champions Flamengo take on Boca Juniors to tip-off the action on December 10. The final team from Group D, UdeC, will face Boca Juniors on December 11.

    Also on December 10, Group B will head to Estadio Ciudad in Santiago del Estero, Argentina for Nacional taking on the home team of Quimsa. Sao Paulo will play their first game against Nacional on December 11.

    Group A will headfirst to Polideportivo Alexis Arguello in Managua, Nicaragua, with Real Estelí and Stingers on Monday, December 13. Stingers will play back-to-back nights taking on Cangrejeros on December 14.

    The final group, Group C, will head to the home of Minas and play at Arena Minas in Minas, Brazil. Minas and Bigua will face off on Monday, December 13 to tip-off group play, with Bigua and Obras playing each other on December 14.

    The second window will take place in January, with Group A heading to Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with their first game on January 31. Groups B and C will both head to Uruguay and play on January 28 at Antel Arena in Montevideo, while Group D will also resume play on January 31 in Argentina at Estadio Luis Conde in Buenos Aires.

    The third and final window of group play will resume in March, with Group B heading to Estadio Obras Sanitarias in Buenos Aires for play on March 14th. Group A will head to Canada, with the final location yet to be determined.

    Groups C and D will both start their final window of group play on March 11, with Group C off to Ginásio do Morumbi in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Group D headed to Chile to play at Casa del Deporte in Concepcion.

    The top two teams from each Group will qualify for the Final 8, taking place starting on April 6th with Quarterfinal matchups. Semi-Final matches will take place on April 7, and both the third-place game and Final will take place on April 9.

    The BCL Americas Champion will earn a spot into the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. C.R. Flamengo, current champion of BCL Americas season 2, will play in the 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.
