TUBELIS ON A ROLL
The final Gameday of the Regular Season is upon us and with all the usual thrills, spills, and crazy permutations ahead of us, it makes sense to look for reliable value to mix in with some of the more high-risk, high-reward picks. And when it comes to reliable value, you can't go wrong with Rytas Vilnius and in this case, Azuolas Tubelis looks as reliable as it gets - especially with WKS Slask Wroclaw next in the firing line on Wednesday.
This season Rytas' new 6'10" (2.08m) power forward has settled into life in the capital very comfortably. His season averages of 10.6 and 6.4 rebounds across all competitions have set a strong foundation.
Tubelis is the type of player who gets contributions across the board and doesn't need the system to revolve around him to pick up points. In the BCL this year, he's averaging 25.8 mins, 8.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 block, and will only cost you 12 of your 55 efficiency points.
The form book looks good for Tubelis as well. In Rytas' last Lithuanian League game, an 89-69 win over Nevezis, Tubelis put up 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in just 20 minutes of action.
His form against Slask Wroclaw looks just as reliable too. The last time these two teams met on October 16, Tubelis had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block in 28 minutes of action.
With Tubelis being somewhat rested in Rytas' last domestic game, playing a slightly reduced 20 minutes, and the team still needing a win against fourth-placed Slask Wroclaw to secure the top spot in Group F with the automatic berth into the Round of 16, the chances of Tubelis seeing reduced minutes again in this game are perishingly low.
We can expect Rytas and Tubelis to go hard in this game and the big Luthianian star looks like a reliable way to spend 12 of your efficiency points and at the same time is also a pick with the upside to potentially get you a much bigger score.
Tubelis is overdue a breakout game and presents a fantastic opportunity to help you get a better chance of promotion through divisions or even better, get the bragging rights in your group of other BCL Fantasy game contestants.
