MIAMI (United States) – The official draw for Season 6 of the Basketball Champions League Americas was held this Wednesday in Miami, United States. Carlos Alves, Executive Director of the FIBA Regional Office in the Americas, hosted the ceremony, which was streamed live on the official BCL Americas YouTube channel. Before the draw, it was announced that Group A had been pre-assigned due to geographic and logistical considerations. The teams placed in this group are Paisas, Toros del Valle, and Real Estelí, leaving only Groups B, C, and D to be drawn. It was also specified that teams hosting the first window would be drawn as the heads of Groups B, C, and D, and that no two clubs from the same country could be placed in the same group. The top eight teams (two from each group) will advance to the Quarterfinals (A1 vs. B2, D1 vs. C2, D2 vs. C1, and A2 vs. B1), scheduled for March 2025. These teams will vie for a spot in the Final 4, set to take place in April. All games will be broadcast on DIRECTV in the South American region. Quimsa, the reigning BCLA champion, is the only club with two titles (2019-20 and 2023-24) in the competition’s history. The team crowned in this edition will represent the region in the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. FIBA
