MIAMI (United States) – The official draw for Season 6 of the Basketball Champions League Americas will be held on Wednesday, November 20, in Miami, USA, at 4:00 PM local time. The event will be broadcast live on the league's official YouTube channel. The 2024-25 BCL Americas will feature 12 teams from seven countries across the Americas: Boca Juniors, Instituto, and Quimsa from Argentina; SESI Franca, Flamengo, and Minas Tenis from Brazil; Colegio Los Leones from Chile; Paisas BC and Toros del Valle from Colombia; Real Estelí from Nicaragua; Toros de Chiriqui from Panama; and Bigua from Uruguay. The Basketball Champions League Americas Board has outlined the draw procedure, stating that Group A will be pre-assigned for geographical and logistical reasons, leaving Groups B, C, and D to be determined by the draw. Additionally, it was specified that the teams hosting the first window will be drawn as the top seeds for Groups B, C, and D, and no two teams from the same country can be placed in the same group. The teams will be divided into three pots as follows: Pot 1: Flamengo, Instituto, Quimsa Pot 2: Boca Juniors, Franca, Minas Pot 3: Los Leones de Quilpue, Toros de Chiriqui, Bigua The competition will tipoff on December 11, with all 12 clubs competing in the Group Phase across three windows. The top eight teams (two per group) will advance to the Quarterfinals in March 2025, with matchups as follows: A1 vs. B2, D1 vs. C2, D2 vs. C1, and A2 vs. B1.
