Vildoza, Ibargüen, De Paula, Montero, and Borges shine for their respective teams.

MIAMI (United States) – The first group stage of the Basketball Champions League Americas Season 6 has concluded, with all three Brazilian teams —Minas, SESI Franca, and Flamengo— remaining undefeated through their first two games. While the Brazilian teams showcased their dominance, several standout players emerged as key leaders, driving their teams to at least one victory in the process. Here are the top performers from Groups B, C, and D in this initial round of games:

    Leandro Vildoza - Instituto

    PTS: 15.0 | 3P: 80% | AST: 5.5 | REB: 4.5 | STL: 2.0 | EFF: 24.0

The point guard delivered the highest efficiency rating in this opening stage. Over two games, he tallied 11 assists and committed just one turnover. His scoring was equally impressive, shooting 64% from the field and hitting 8-of-10 from three-point range. Instituto closed the group stage with a 1-1 record in Group D.

    Andrés Ibargüen - Boca Juniors

    PTS: 19.0 | 2P: 76% | REB: 8.0 | STL: 1.0 | BLK: 1.0 | EFF: 20.5

The Colombian big man dominated in the paint, converting an impressive 16-of-21 two-point attempts. He was Boca Juniors' most productive player, helping the team achieve a 1-1 record in Group B. In their first game against Flamengo, Ibargüen narrowly missed a free throw that could have forced overtime. Still, his 20 points were instrumental in keeping Boca competitive.

Georginho De Paula - SESI Franca

    PTS: 12.5 | FT: 100% | REB: 6.5 | AST: 6.0 | BLK: 1,0 | EFF: 19.0

A standout in his previous BCL Americas campaign (Season 4), Georginho De Paula continued to impress in Season 6. Known for his versatility, he played a pivotal role in both SESI Franca victories in Group D, averaging over 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists per game.

    Luis Montero - Minas

    PTS: 15.5 | 3P: 83% | REB: 7,5 | STL: 1.0 | BLK: 1.0 | EFF: 18.5

Minas made a strong return to the BCL Americas with a 2-0 record in the first stage. While the team demonstrated excellent cohesion, with five players averaging double-digit points, Montero stood out as the top performer. The Dominican star contributed across all statistical categories, shooting 61% from the field and hitting 5-of-6 from beyond the arc.

    Lucas Siewert - Flamengo

    PTS: 12.0 | 3P: 38% | REB: 8,5 | AST: 1.0 EFF: 14.5

Flamengo also thrived through teamwork, with five players averaging at least 10 points each. Among them, Lucas Siewert shared the team’s highest efficiency rating with Alexey Borges. As the team’s center, Siewert played a crucial role in securing rebounds and posted the second-best plus-minus on the team (+14.5).
