Basketball Champions League hosts annual Head Coach Workshop
The Basketball Champions League hosted its annual Head Coach and Referee Workshop Monday in Mies, Switzerland.
MIES (Switzerland) - The Basketball Champions League hosted its annual Head Coach Workshop Monday in Mies, Switzerland.
The workshop was attended by Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches of the teams that qualified directly to the Regular Season. The meeting covered a wide range of subjects, including officiating matters with video situations, BCL strategy and objectives. It served the purpose to create a forum where opinions can be discussed and experiences shared.
„It was really nice to meet all the other BCL coaches and talking to the referees, to get an idea of what they are doing, so we can guarantee good communication. It was also a great chance to meet all the people that work in BCL and I hope that, all together, we will have a good season", Zvezdan Mitrovic, Head Coach of Galatasaray nef summed up his experience.
"The Basketball Champions League is a competition organized by and for the clubs, and our constant aim is to service them at the highest level. I am therefore delighted to welcome our Head Coaches in the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball. Discussing and listening to the coaches' opinions is part of a larger effort to grow our community, and develop the competition together." said Patrick Comninos, CEO of the Basketball Champions League.
Marco Ramondino, Head Coach of Bertram Yachts Derthona, added: „For me as a „Rookie“ coach, a newcomer in the BCL it was like being a kid in a candy shop. A lot of times people from the organization came to check on me to see if I was okay - it was not okay, it was really amazing! I am enjoying every moment of this experience and making the most of it. I‘m looking forward to bringing these inputs back to my colleagues, staff and people in the club to be as best as we can be in our upcoming participation in the BCL.“
The seventh season of the Basketball Champions League tips off with the Regular Season starting on October 17, 2023. The Qualification Round Tournaments will be played from September 25 to October 1, 2023.
