Round of 16 picture: Groups taking shape ahead of the Play-In series

MIES (Switzerland) - The Basketball Champions League is in its seventh season. The format remains the same as last season, with the group winners advancing straight to the Round of 16, and the second- and third-placed teams going to the Play-In Series in January.

Both the Round of 16 groups and the Play-In pairings are predetermined by the draw, which was held over the summer in the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball. The question is, what if the season ended today?

Play-In pairings

The Play-In Series will be played as the best-of-three series in January. The second-placed teams from the Regular Season would have the home court advantage, meaning they would play Game 3 at home if necessary.

The winners of the Play-In Series will join the eight group winners from the Regular Season in the Round of 16. It will be played in four groups of four teams, top two are moving to the Quarter-Finals.
