Strasbourg penned the versatile Bonzie Colson, who can play at both forward positions and is coming off a solid season at Darussafaka. The 24-year-old American averaged 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in the Turkish BSL league, with 10.8 points and 5 rebounds per contest in the EuroCup.

The French club  pulled off one of the most  surprising trades  of the summer by convincing Czech international Jaromir Bohacik to leave ERA Nymburk and play outside his home country for the first time.  The 28-year-old swingman averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game in the 2019-20 BCL to help Nymburk reach the Final Eight.

Strasbourg had made their recruiting ambitions known already in May by luring Leopold Cavalière away from Pau-Lacq-Orthez, the only club he'd played for since the start of his career. The 24-year-old forward averaged 5.3 points and 4 rebounds with Pau in the 2019-20 BCL Regular Season.

The reds followed up by signing another player with BCL experience in Ishmail Wainwright, who averaged 10.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game for Germany's Rasta Vechta in the Regular Season.

New SIG Sporting Director Nicola Alberani arrived from Scandone Avellino and brought to France a shooting guard he had first-hand  experience of, in DeAndre Lansdowne, who averaged 13.3 points and 3 rebounds per game in the Italian Serie A with Brescia.

Strasbourg also agreed in July a deal with Wes Clark, formerly of Cantú, but  decided to rescind the contract following the player's medical exam and went on to sign instead Brandon Jefferson, who was the fifth-leading scorer of the 2019-20 French Jeep Elite league, in his second season at Orleans. The 28-year-old point guard averaged 16.2 points, on 43.6 percent three-point shooting, and 4 assists per game.

The Alsace club also decided to put together a new duo at the 5 spot and penned Frenchman Yannis Morin from Chalons-Reims and Ebuka Izundu, who averaged 4.2 points and 3 rebounds for Real Betis in the Spanish Liga Endesa.

Strasbourg parted ways with Izundu in late December and on January 7th they replaced him with veteran, versatile big Ike Udanoh. The 31-year-old Nigerian started the 2020-21 season at Trieste and he averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in the Serie A.
