New Event Sponsor Nippon Life joins FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023

MIES/OKINAWA (Switzerland/Japan) - Japan, co-host of FIBA's biggest event with the Philippines and Indonesia, have announced that Nippon Life Insurance Company will be an Event Sponsor for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which tips off on August 25 across the three host nations.
Nippon Life, Japan's largest life insurance company, has supported basketball throughout the country through the sponsorship of the Japan Basketball Association, the Japan Wheelchair Basketball Federation, and the B.LEAGUE professional basketball league. They have also been involved in a variety of activities that contribute to the development of local communities and society through various activities.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 tips off on August 25. It is also being held in Manila, the Philippines, and Jakarta, Indonesia. In Japan, Okinawa will host a Group Phase over 10 days, with the Final Phase to take place in Manila.
Fans in Okinawa will get to see the national teams of Japan, Australia, Germany, Finland, Slovenia, Cape Verde, Georgia and Venezuela all in action in the Group Phase. Japan plays Germany on August 25 and then takes on Australia on August 29.
