PARIS (France) - Victor Wembanyama is in line for a debut at senior international level after being included in the 12-player France squad for the next window of the World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers.
PARIS (France) - Victor Wembanyama is in line for a debut at senior international level after being included in the 12-player France squad for the next window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers.
The teen sensation has been turning heads all over the world with his performances for Metropolitans 92 against G-League Ignite in the United States. Wembanyama last represented France at the FIBA Basketball U19 World Cup and made it onto the All-Star Five with 14.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.7 blocks per game.

The 18-year-old is one of four uncapped players named to the roster that also includes two members of their FIBA EuroBasket 2022 squad in Andrew Albicy and Terry Tarpey, who helped secure a silver medal.
Axel Toupane and Paul Lacombe also make their returns to the team having featured earlier in the campaign with France currently second in Group K with a 6-2 record.
