MUNICH (Germany) - Shane Larkin was the hero for Turkey in leading them to a first win at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers as the only player to hit an efficiency mark of 30 on Gameday 2.

The star guard finished with 22 points, 8 assists and 2 blocks in the 84-67 win over Great Britain in Istanbul as the hosts overturned an early 13-point deficit to get their campaign back on track and close the window at 1-1.

Klemen Prepelic also played an instrumental role for his country with a 30-point haul ensuring Slovenia avoided a shock defeat at home to Sweden. The 29-year-old went on a hot scoring streak in the third quarter and also handed out 8 assists in the 94-89 victory in Koper.

Meanwhile, Ludvig Hakanson still makes the lineup despite the defeat for Sweden after leading their effort with an impressive double-double of 21 points and 14 assists, as the Swedes came up just short on the road.

Ismael Bako secures his spot in the frontcourt after an imposing double-double of his own with 14 points and 11 rebounds along with 5 assists and 2 steals to help Belgium secure an upset Serbia with a 73-69 triumph in Mons.

There was also a place for Miralem Halilovic after the 30-year-old forward showcased his versatility with 21 points - on 8-of-12 shooting - 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals as Bosnia and Herzegovina stayed unbeaten with a 85-75 win away at Bulgaria, in Botevgrad.
