BEIRUT (Lebanon) - Jordan had clinched a World Cup spot when New Zealand beat Saudi Arabia, 110-63, and celebrated that with a 98-63 win over India later in the day.

The Tall Blacks left no room for their fans to doubt as they built their lead up to 20 points in the first quarter and up to as much as 52 points in this game.

New Zealand barely missed as they shot 64.6 percent from the floor, including 46.2 percent from the three-point line. All twelve players saw action in this game for coach Pero Cameron’s squad and they all put points on the board in the massive victory, with 33 assists to show their willingness to share the ball.

Mohammed Alsuwailem had a productive return to national team duties for Saudi Arabia with 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Jordan won their game in a similar fashion as they went ahead early on and left India in the dust.

The lead ballooned to as much as 47 points in the second half before Jordan cruised along to the final buzzer.

The 35-point win is Jordan's biggest win  in the World Cup 2023 Qualifiers.

Turning point: Neither Jordan nor New Zealand trailed at any point in their wins and continued to build their leads with big unanswered bursts of scoring from time to time through the game.

Game Heroes: Six players scored in double-digits for the Tall Blacks, led by Ethan Rusbatch who had 21 points.

Freddy Ibrahim had the most impressive statistical performance for Jordan with a double-double of 21 points and 13 assists.

Stats don’t lie: There was not much resistance from the defense of India and Saudi Arabia. New Zealand missed only 9 shots in the arc and constantly made their three-pointers, too. Jordan ended up going 32-64 from the field in their win while also knocking down 11 threes in the process.
