MIAMI (United States) – After the first days of games of the third window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup Americas Qualifiers the Second Round is beginning to clear up.
All the results of this first round carry over to the second, therefore no team can afford to slow down as every game counts. All teams in the Americas region are in the search for one of the seven available spots in the World Cup hosted in Philippines, Japan and Indonesia in 2023.

Now, the teams must define first place. Venezuela needs a victory over Paraguay to keep that top spot because they defeated Argentina by a larger point margin than Argentina’s victory. For Argentina to be first, they must beat Panama and have Paraguay defeat Venezuela.
